Student Access to La Salle - June 15-19, 2020
Locker clean-out & Text/Library book return and Grade 12 Photo Opportunity
The KFL&A Health Unit and the Limestone District School Board have provided a detailed protocol to allow for students to access the school in order to clean out their lockers. Students will be scheduled to access their lockers according to their MSIP classes. Please see the schedule below. It is important that students/families follow the schedule and instructions provided below. These instructions will hopefully minimize the risk for all.
Access Instructions
Students are asked to enter the school via the entrance where students getting off the bus enter (entrance labeled “E”). There could be a line up to enter the building so students are asked to follow physical distancing rules and use guides provided while waiting to get in the building. At that entrance, each person will be asked screening questions and will be required to use hand sanitizer. If you are returning books from home you will return them at that entrance. Students will have about 20 minutes to proceed directly to their lockers and clean them out entirely. Garbage can be placed in bins that will be on each floor. Personal belongings including locks can be retrieved and any textbook/Library books in student lockers can be returned upon exiting the building. All students will exit via the back doors by the gym (entrance labeled “D”) and will have to use hand sanitizer. Each student will be recorded leaving the building so that we can keep track of how many students are in the building at one time.
Grade 12 Photo Opportunity
Graduating students are welcome to take a selfie grad photo in the Great Hall when they come to clean out their lockers. The photo spot will be in front of the school crest with the Black Knight. Grads will be asked to use hand sanitizer and put on a gown and a picture will be taken with the student’s camera/phone. Students will remove their gown and use hand sanitizer once again. There will be some staff on hand in the Great Hall to assist with the marshalling of graduates through this photo opportunity.
