Dear Parents/Guardians,
Parent Conference Night: Wednesday October 21, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Secondary Teachers will be assembled in Gyms 1, 2, and 3 and Intermediate Teachers will be in Gym 3. Teachers will be arranged alphabetically in those spaces by last name to allow you to locate them easily. Staff will also be available to help with directions. Administrators, Guidance Counsellors, and the Student Success Team are available this evening as well, should you wish to speak to one of them.
Teachers in the Secondary School to Community Class and in the Secondary Technology/Arts Wing will have open classrooms and will receive students and families in open-house format; their names will not appear as bookable.
We are using School-Day for Parents to sign-up for the scheduled appointments. If you have not already signed up for your School Day account, you will need to do so before you can sign up for Parent Night.
To sign up for School-Day or for the steps that your student can follow to access a copy of their timetable, look to the end of this letter.
Once you have a School-Day account:
Go to the “Parent Conference” menu item on the left side.
You will see the “Parent Teacher Conference October 21, 2026” listed once it goes live on Tuesday October 13th@ 10:00am. (registrations window CLOSES Tuesday, October 20th at 4:0pm).
Click on date and then the times under each teacher that you wish to book. (If your student is in grades 9-12 it will be helpful to have your child’s timetable with course codes to make sure you are seeing the correct courses/teachers. Your secondary student will be able to access their timetable by looking at their Minds Online (access instructions on reverse). Once you are done, you can print a list of the appointments that you have made by clicking the button to the right called “Parent Conferences”.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE BOOKING MORE THAN ONE APPOINTMENT, PLEASE ALLOW 5 MINUTES IN BETWEEN EACH BOOKING TO GIVE YOU TIME TO GET TO YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT.
Interviews are strictly 5 minutes long and spaces are limited. If you require more time or if all times are booked for a teacher, please contact the teacher directly to make alternative arrangements.
You may change your bookings any time prior to the closing date, by re-visiting the School-Day website. We are pleased to offer you this opportunity to discuss your child’s progress at school, and we look forward to meeting you on this important evening.
HOW TO GET A SCHOOL DAY ACCOUNT
To sign up for School-Day & add your student(s):
Click the Quick Link on the LSS website called “Permissions and Payments”, OR go to www.school-day.com. You will need the Secure-Match Key for each student you have at LSS. If you have any issues or need a Secure-Match Key for your student, please call the main office for assistance.
HOW TO ACCESS A STUDENT TIMETABLE
Your student will have to access their Student Aspen Portal and follow these steps:
*Go to school website (https://lasalle.limestone.on.ca)
*Log into "Minds Online" account (top right hand side of website, select 3 horizontal bars, scroll through useful links, select Minds Online)
*Enter your La Salle computer login information (your full LDSB email address and password)
*Select the Aspen icon
*In Aspen, select the My Info tab then the Current Schedule side tab
*Click on the List View and sort the order of your courses by clicking on "Term"
